Not sure I am ready....

Well my mother in law arrives today and I am not sure I am ready… Last weekend having all 3 of the grandkids put me behind in my house cleaning! Plus Andrew always shares his repertory infections with me. After our outings on Saturday we decided to stay home and do crafts on Sunday. Kids played their games and we painted and made decorations for Easter.

We skyped with Sam and found Andrew likes to put money in his bank while we are talking (it keeps him at the table for a while) once the money runs out so does he… About 5 minutes into the call he runs to the living room to get a toy and when he returned to the room he gave me a funny look and then threw up all over us…right in front of daddy. So we said a quick goodbye and had to clean us up!

The rest of the day was uneventful just had a cuddly baby that wanted Maw Maw to do nothing but hold him and watch Bubble Guppies. I couldn’t take a break to even get a cute picture without this…
Well that is all for now! Love you all!

Week-end rolled by so fast!

This past weekend we had all three grandkids! We had so much fun. We decided to take Ray and Alyssa roller skating since we heard that they had never been before…just not sure how that is possible. Growing up and even when we were in college Terry and I spend so much time at the roller ring! We were excited about getting back in the ring ourselves…has to be like riding a bike, right! Well let me tell you when you haven’t been skating for 20 years it is like learning it all again.

We only had a couple collisions before we even made it to the ring. When getting her skates Alyssa dropped one of them right on my foot and I was wearing sandals…boy did it hurt. But when I got my skates on she was watching me try to skate for the first time and when I got by her I lost my balance and my arms instantly went up in the air and smacked her in the nose. I apologized and hugged her and whispered in her ear, “paybacks are hell” and we both laughed.

So we all have our skates on and Andrew is all set at the game area so Terry decided to take the older kids around the ring….and away they go…Hugging the wall all the way around. One time around the ring and Ray and Alyssa are ready to go home.

Then when it was my turn to go on the ring no one wanted to go with me L Wow it was so hard, how can this be? I use to skate all the time and was rather good at it…now I am a Wall Hugger too???

We were going to rent the kids skating walkers (they did not make them big enough for me or I would have gotten one for Terry and Me!) but one of the instructors came by and said they were really too old for them. She took the kids aside and gave them some instructions and then pulled them out on the floor again. Within the next hour they were doing really well, skating in the middle of the ring!

Terry and I took turns hanging out with Andrew. He had a great time until people started coming and actually using the games which meant he was limited to what he could use.

Over all the trip was a success, I think everyone really enjoyed themselves! And Terry and I did not break or injure anything!!

I am so glad that I hold the Camera...so they didn't get pictures of me falling...lol!

National Brothers Week

My Brothers were my first male friend in life. No one will ever understand my craziness like my brother! We can communicate with a single look and laugh so much my jaws ache. Even though we don’t get together or talk as much as I would like...I know he will always remain my friend and will always be the first to help me in time of troubles. While people come and go in my life, my brothers will always be in my heart for a lifetime!

I love you all so very much....

Exhausting Weekend!

Well we have had a busy and expensive week. I wish I could say that I bought tickets for a vacation Cruise but not this time. Terry has only be back to work for 2 ½ weeks so it will be a few more months before we can even think about a vacation. Not to mention if this money pit of ours doesn’t stop eating up our extra cash we may not get a vacation this year.
Some of you may know that our Air conditioner unit broke down on one of the hottest days last summer and so in 105+ we were without air for 2 days and really couldn’t leave the house while they replaced the outside unit. The really sad part was that the unit broke down 2 day after the warranty expired. Well the inside unit died this year…. At least it was only 75 degrees this time! Still Mojito time!
Finally had a week end where it was not raining so we got outside yesterday and did some yard work. The drought last year killed off about 5 of our trees/bushes and there are about 4 that are completely dead. So we spend most of yesterday pruning and pulling up the dead ones hoping that some of the pruny ones can come back to life. I felt so bad for Terry! It was about 80 degrees today! We go from winter to summer these days.
We also began working on Andrew Birthday present from us…A play area in the backyard! More updates on this by his birthday!

So by the time we finished all the yard work we were both totally drained! After we got our shower and got ready to set down and relax we discovered that Terry new glasses were gone! We tore the house appart looking for them and retraced our tracks outside looking for them...but no luck! Looks like we will be ordering him a new pair...ughhh! We really hate that we are getting old and can't keep track of our stuff! Oh well things will get better!

Remember.....and smile

Today is one of those days that make me ponder…”What if” This is one of those day that you celebrate throughout your life time but a parent will always celebrate for the rest of their lives. Today Terry and I celebrate the birth of our precious son Jonathon! It is hard for us to believe that today we would be putting 30 candles on his cake…how time flies by! We were so fortunate to have been able to celebrate 18 of his birthdays with him!

Not a day goes by that I don’t remember his warm smile, hugs and quick humor! I will always wonder what kind of man he would have grown up to become….if things had been different.

Jonathon, We love you and miss you very much!

Paw Paw's Back to Work!

Well after 4 months Terry finally went back to work last week....so things have change back to normal I no longer have dinner waiting for me when I get home from work. His shoulder is doing fine he still has to do some exercises to help increase his range of motion.Today is my first night alone in the house again but I am so stress from work that I really don't feel like starting any projects. And can't figure out what to cook myself for dinner....ughhh!
We had our little visitor this past week end which kept us pretty busy. On Saturday we got up and went to Fort Worth for a childrens resale event in hopes of finding a Sandbox Turtle for his birthday. I figure if I could find one there I could save quite a bit of money on it but no luck. Andrew was excited about all the toys...he left with a remote control Dinosaur!

We got home and Chris,Alexis and the kids came over for lunch. Andrew was so tired that he fell asleep in his highchair. Well I never move a sleeping baby so we reclined the chair and moved it so we could see him from the livingroom and he took about an hour nap!! I just cannot get him to sleep good for a nap??? I have no problem getting him to go to bed at night and sleep all night long but he is just too busy and fights the naps.

Sunday he was kind of tired all day, we found a television station he liked...his favorite show is "Bubble Guppies". We were watching it when Daddy text came through and then we talked to "dad dad on Puter". He had a really good time talking to Sam this week...they laughed but I could tell that Sam really can't wait to come home for a visit!
After talking to daddy it was time to lay around a watch TV while Maw Maw made me lunch! Then we went outside because Maw Maw said that might tired me out too! I went exploring out in the yard and found something to give Maw Maw!Then I thought I would sit back in my favorite chair.....Not sure what happen but woke up and my weekend at Paw Paw and Maw Maw's was over....it was time to go home.
We always have fun when this little guy comes for a visit but we are both exhausted when he goes home. So we are resting up for the next time we get him!
I hope this all makes sense....I am pretty tired so I may be making corrections tomorrow when I read this again....Good night everyone I think I am going to find my comfortable chair!
