Well time is spinning by so quickly… Seems like just yesterday I was counting the Day til GG (Great-Grandma Joan) would be here for a visit and then I blinked and she is already been here and gone. She was here for two major events: Andrew’s 2nd birthday and Easter. I personally could not have made it through these two events without her. Terry and I have been suffering with sinus and repertory infections and have been pretty sick for about 6 weeks.
Andrew loved all of his gifts for his birthday and really likes his play area. He actually learned how to open the sliding glass door leading to the back yard…if it is unlocked. We are going to fix him…I am going to find a kid proof one. Terry and I are going to have to hook up the pool guard so the alarm ring when the door is open…I sure that will scare him the first time it goes off!
He loves to use the hose to put water in his water table…ALL by himself. But also like to just water the grass and give the turtle a drink. And of course he can’t understand why he can climb up the slide…
Easter was fun this year with GG visiting us! She made her famous Spaghetti for Good Friday and Alyssa made the dessert. She took some peep bunnies and made our dessert a little more festive!!
Ray and Alyssa spent the rest of the afternoon swimming with the neighbor kids. By dinner Alyssa looked like all she wanted to do was go to bed.
Then we had our egg hunt after dinner. Ray informed me that he was just a little too old to do the egg hunt but I told him he had to do it for me and of course there was money in those eggs. Being the great kid he is he didn’t want to disappoint me so he participated. He was the winner and found the most eggs. I have a year to come up with another tradition to carry on with the older kids…
We got Elmo and Sponge Bob Eggs ( not sure they were really egg shape but...) for Andrew and hid them in plane site. He found all the eggs rather fast so Auntie Alexis took him in the yard and he actually found some of the older kids’ eggs! Over all I think they all enjoyed the day!
